ADA Technologies, Inc. spent its early years roaming the landscape of technology research and development. Funding through the federal government’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program has allowed the company to hone a vision for building an organization of lasting value. A new management team bought out the last founder in October 2000. Since that time the total corporate focus has been shifted to commercializing technology. The already strong research and development skills have been strengthened and a solid commercialization program is well under development. This program encompasses five key skill sets: business planning, marketing, intellectual property management, business infrastructure and financial resource procurement. The program is being implemented with a strategic mix of internal and external resources.
The envisioned future for ADA is to be a leader in the national small business community as a developer and commercializer of technology. Shareholder value will be driven by commercialization successes as we license and sell technology, create new businesses via business manufacturing and enter into strategic joint ventures with partner organizations. The business model will be replicated at other locations that exhibit a high concentration of new technology.
