 | ADA Technologies, Inc., specializes in the successful creation and conversion of innovative technologies to commercial successes. Our knowledge of federal research programs, especially the Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIR), enables us to perform early stage research while retaining intellectual property rights to the technology. By creating and adapting methodologies we have formulated a winning approach to technology commercialization. We license, sell, form joint ventures and create new businesses to realize value from our technologies.
Our work is currently organized in four work units: Mercury Control, Atmospheric & Environmental Instruments, Water Treatment & Measurements and our next spinoff business PhysioNetics.
- Mercury is a persistent contaminant that has global impact.ADA’s suite of control technologies offers a range of solutions that can be configured to solve almost any control challenge.
- Our Instrumentation and Sensors unit is working on many innovative systems that can provide added value to customers in the energy savings, Homeland security, defense and educational markets.
- Water Treatment work is ongoing for continued improvement to the line of dental waste treatment units currently being manufactured by our subsidiary Aqualitech, LLC as well as development of systems to remove arsenic from drinking water and to develop photoactive surfaces that automatically disinfect when exposed to sunlight.
- PhysioNetics designs affordable, functional, reliable and aesthetically pleasing prosthetic and orthotic components for adult and pediatric markets throughout the world. PhysioNeticsʼ strong base of new products and technologies includes devices that enable upper-extremity amputees to comfortably and easily perform routine activities.

 | Critical to our success are relationships built with larger firms that utilize new technology to leverage their current market presence. ADA has developed several of these relationships in the past two years. The most significant is an alliance with CH2M Hill, an international environmental science and engineering firm with headquarters located in Denver. Joint commercialization efforts are ongoing and targeted at mercury control for thermal and industrial systems as well as arsenic control in drinking water. The alliance allows us to easily pursue joint development and commercialization in a way that adds value to both firms.
Founded in 1985, ADA, a Littleton, Colorado-based firm, has established for itself a solid foundation of proprietary technologies and scientific know-how from which it can now address a range of commercial opportunities. In October of 2000 new ownership implemented a renewed focus on commercialization of technology through licensing, sale, joint ventures, and business manufacturing. ADA is establishing itself as a preeminent technology commercialization company through the establishment and implementation of processes to guide the entire technology commercialization cycle.
